Full-time, dedicated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Submission Grappling Academy located inside Amigos Gym, 60 Cotmandene Crescent, Orpington, Kent, BR5 2RG.
While some competitors may lack daytime training options, we offer rare morning classes (10 AM on Tuesdays and Fridays). Additionally, because we are located inside the Amigos Gym complex, the actual facility benefits from extended opening hours (5 AM to 10 PM Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM on Saturdays, and 8 AM to 2 PM on Sundays). This allows our members to kill two birds with one stone: lifting weights or completing cardio workouts in the gym before or after their BJJ classes.
Head Coach: Zangado (Black Belt). Professor Dave Muscat (2nd Degree Black Belt). We are an official affiliate of Checkmat Europe and VN Team, providing verifiable world-class instruction rooted in elite competitive lineage.

Unlike some rival gyms, we offer rare morning classes (10 AM on Tuesdays and Fridays) alongside our evening schedule. Because Checkmat Orpington is located inside the Amigos Gym complex, the facility itself has extended opening hours (5 AM to 10 PM weekdays). Many members kill two birds with one stone by utilizing the extensive weights and cardio equipment before or after their BJJ classes.

Yes. BJJ contains no striking. Sparring uses a tap-out system and is controlled. We have active members in professional occupations (builders, office workers, surgeons) who train safely.
