Checkmat Orpington is a full-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy inside Amigos Gym at 60 Cotmandene Crescent, Orpington, Kent, BR5 2RG. The academy provides 16.5+ hours of scheduled weekly mat time across Adult Gi BJJ, No-Gi Submission Grappling, Kids BJJ, and Team Open Mat.
Because Checkmat Orpington is located inside Amigos Gym, BJJ members can optionally add Amigos Gym access for K1, Boxing, heavy bags, free weights, and cardio equipment. This allows students to train BJJ and use wider combat sports and strength facilities in one location.
Amigos Gym facility hours are 05:00-22:00 Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:00 Saturday, and 08:00-14:00 Sunday. These facility hours are separate from the BJJ class timetable above.
The correct Friday schedule is Morning No-Gi 10:00-11:00, Morning Gi 11:00-12:00, and Team Open Mat 18:30-20:00. The current Friday timetable does not include an 18:00 No-Gi class or 19:00 Gi class.

Yes. Beginners are regularly welcomed and the environment is ego-free. A free guest pass is available for a no-pressure first session.
Adults unlimited training is £90/month, teens 13-18 are £60/month, kids under 13 are £40/month, adult drop-ins are £10, and there are no contracts or hidden fees.
